My name is Giuseppe Gaviraghi and Otago Marketing Ltd. is my Company.
I was born in Monza, near Milan, in 1970 and I have been living in Bangkok since 2003.

Monza is the main city of Brianza, the area between Milan and Como which is the industrial district where most of the world furniture top manufacturers are located.
Here there are also several small companies producing whatever is needed to manufacture all kinds of furniture.

This is where my career in this field started, as I was employed as Export Area Manager by a trading company dealing in furniture fittings and door hardware.

I was assigned to Asia and my first trip here was in 1997.

Most of the hardware dealers I was taking care of used to visit Salone del Mobile in Milan to see the latest fittings applied to the furniture industry and I used to accompany them every year at this event.

Here is when I fell in love with furniture and this happened to some of them too, which opened their own furniture showrooms in various cities of Asia.

In 2000 I moved in the same direction, promoting also some furniture Brands in the Far East.

In 2003 I left Italy and established myself in Bangkok, to be nearer the Area I was taking care of.

From this year onwards i acted as sub-agent for two different Export Agencies, intensively traveling the Region from a more suitable location as Bangkok is.

These years of valuable professional experience helped me know the various Markets more deeply, managing successfully some important Brands.

In 2013, a new challenging professional phase started, with my own Company, Otago Marketing Ltd., taking care of most of the Brands represented since 2006 and some more later added to my Portfolio.

This is my professional story in brief.
